The Cutler-Hammer HMCP150A4C is a 150A, 3-pole, 480V HMCP Series motor circuit protector (MCP). Unlike standard thermal-magnetic breakers, the HMCP uses magnetic-only trip technology, which means it trips only on short circuits and not on motor inrush current. This makes it ideal for motor branch circuit protection when used in combination with a motor starter and overload relay. The HMCP150A4C meets NEC requirements for motor branch circuit protection and is UL 489 listed.
